On May 29, 2008 I was diagnosed with Tonsil Cancer. I created this blog to share my thoughts and sequence of events for family, friends and others that are experiencing the same "Inconvenience in Life." I have been blessed with a great life full of wonderful experiences, a caring family, a fabulous wife, outstanding children, good friends, and satisfying careers. Each day is truly: Another Day in Paradise.

DAY 155 - Day 58 in Recovery Paradise
I have some good news to report. I went to my ENT specialist today for my first checkup since she diagnosed me with tonsil cancer 155 days ago. After her exam today, she said that I look really clean and that there was no sign of cancer. I now have to go back in two months and do regular checkups for the next five years. Somewhere down the road, I will have another PET scan to make sure the cancer hasn't come back. As you can imagine, we are all very relieved here in this house. My thanks go out to all of you who read this and have been kind enough to send me words of encouragement.
I had bean soup for dinner tonight and a bit of ice cream afterward to celebrate. I'm still waiting for that cheeseburger, however.

Wow! The best news EVER!!! All of the trauma of the past few months has finally paid off in the best possible way. We knew if anyone came out the winner in this it would be you...because you've got ATTITUDE, ATTITUDE, ATTITUDE!! (Well, that and a whole lot of people who love you.) Hooray!!!

For some odd reason several of my recent comments don't seem to have reached you or our new TV star. Good going, both of you! Can you handle milk-shakes? It all sounds great!
